Our Story...
In 1998, the Fawcett Conference Center opened a coffee cart in the Fisher College of Business to provide light breakfast and lunch options. The convenient grab and go menu concept was very popular and four additional coffee carts were opened across Ohio State's campus. The concept was named Oxley's On The Go. In 2001, the base of operations for Oxley's On The Go moved from the Fawcett Conference Center to the Department of Campus Dining Services in Raney Commons. Oxley's On The Go began to offer catered box lunches as an additional service from the original cart concept. Rave reviews soon followed and the box lunch business boomed by word of mouth. In 2003, Oxley's On The Go continued to develop and expand the catering menu and grew to become a full service catering department in 2005. The "On-The-Go" name was perfect for the coffee cart and box lunch concept, but did not adequately represent "full service catering." In 2006 many of the menu offerings were formalized and the name of the catering department was changed to University Catering.

Our Venues
University Catering is proud to have been selected as the prime caterer for the Recreation and Physical Activity Center (RPAC), which includes several venues to host your event, including three state-of-the-art meeting rooms, a demo kitchen, the Stadium Terrace overlooking the south stands of the "Shoe," and the Tom W. Davis Special Events Gymnasium. We also offer the "Football Room" in Morrill Tower with a fantastic view of the stadium, the Main Lounge in the Drake Performance and Event Center, and our own dining room in Raney Commons on north east campus. We are definitely not limited to these locations and can host your event in almost any facility on main campus. Our event planners can assist you in finding a venue that is appropriate for your special event.
Off Premise Catering and Special Events
Our event planners will work to provide your meeting, event, or party with extraordinary service and culinary cuisine, floral arrangements, and state-of-the-art options for your audio/video needs. We will guide you through the process of selecting china, linen, entertainment, and a design that will ensure a perfect event for your guests.
